Fishing to improve as temperatures drop

By George Langley

Autumn is definitely upon the North Woods and many anglers welcome these cooler morning and daytime temperatures. This is a great time of year for hunters and anglers, with many options for outdoor activities.

Early goose and bear seasons have been productive for some area hunters, and bow hunters are getting anxious for the archery deer season to open this weekend. Fishing has been somewhat inconsistent, but we will start to see fish entering their fall patterns now with the change in weather and cooling water temperature.
