Fall color change adds to time on water

By George Langley

What beautiful color we’ve been having the pleasure of seeing in the last week or so. It sure adds to our fall fishing — to be treated to this scenery while getting after walleye or muskie at this time of year.

The lakes are really low again, with very little rain in the last six weeks. Some boat landings have again become unusable. The North Woods could really use an old-fashioned “gully washer,” even though it would be miserable during the storm.
