|Soaking up the ‘nows’|
By Mary Friedel-Hunt
The colors are gone. The trees are getting bare, and winter is standing outside our doors threatening to show us what cold and snow are like — again. From what I am seeing online, this coming winter should not be too cold here in Wisconsin and they are expecting lower-than-average snowfall. I know that is not good news for those who run ski businesses or who like to ski or snowmobile.Actually, I do not mind winter. I love the beauty of the trees when their frozen branches glisten in the sun. I also like a silent snowfall on moonlit nights. I do not enjoy icy roads, especially when people drive like it is a summer day.
