WE MIGHT WANT to heed the warning and the wisdom of the following message issued by Thomas Peterffy, 68, founder of electronic stock trading firm Interactive Brokers. Peterffy ran the message as a paid ad on television.

“I grew up in a socialist country and I have seen what that (socialism) does to people. There is no hope, no freedom, no pride in achievement. The nation became poorer and poorer, and that’s what I see happening here.
