Children’s Christmas event set PDF Print E-mail

Sayner-Star Lake Lions Club and Lioness Club will hold a children’s Christmas gathering Friday, Dec. 7, at the Sayner Community Center. Activities will start at 5 p.m. with Santa to arrive at 6 p.m.

Children will be able to participate in a horse-drawn sleigh ride, observe the lighting of the Christmas tree in the park and visit with Santa, who will distribute gifts. Refreshments will be served.

“Children of all ages from the area are invited to take part in the community holiday spirit. The kids can visit with Santa, telling him if they’ve been good or bad and what they want for Christmas,” said Kathy McCaughn, Lioness Club president.

Both clubs are composed of men and women who identify needs within the community and work together to fulfill those needs, noted a club representative. The Sayner-Star Lake Lions and Lioness clubs meet the second Wednesday of each month at various locations around the community.
