A?man traveling on Highway 45 north of Conover in early November said he sighted a cougar along the roadway.

Ed Fiebrandt of Villa Park, Ill., was in the Eagle River area fishing when he was driving along Highway 45 about 10 p.m.

“I was traveling north and saw about a 150-pound cat on the west side of the road,” said Feibrandt. “I?saw it clear as day.”
