Turnovers hurt Eagles in Lakeland T-Bird loss

The Northland Pines boys basketball team gave up 42 points to Lakeland in the second and third quarters and went on to lose the Great Northern Conference (GNC) game 75-30 last Friday night in Minocqua.

Lakeland led 17-9 after one quarter, but out scored the Eagles 22-5 in the second period to take a 39-14 half-time lead. Northland Pines had its best offensive quarter in the third, picking up 13 points, but the T-Birds scored 20 to build a 59-27 lead. Lakeland had a 16-3 advantage in the fourth quarter.
