Former Conover resident Walt Mehr was recently inducted into the Special Olympics Utah Hall of Fame.

Mehr was the only volunteer chosen for the Class of 2012. He was recognized for his efforts as a program builder spanning over 21 years. Joining him was Donna Gunn, an athlete representing the University of Utah-sponsored team.
