Mrs. Splinter was born Sept. 9, 1937, in Cudahy, the daughter of Leonard and Violet Albrecht.Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Trinity Hospital in Cudahy. She has been a resident of Sugar Camp for the past 17 years.
Her hobbies included reading, baking and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robbie; and an infant daughter.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Bob; a son, Dan of Clearwater, Fla.; a daughter, Terri VandeVelde of Muskego; a brother, Leonard (Dorothy) Albrecht of Orlando, Fla.; a sister, Susan (Nancy Desmond) Albrecht of Newport, Minn.; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Condolences may be left at gaffney-busha.com.
