Marvin E. Larsen of St. Germain died Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at Seasons of Life Hospice Home in Woodruff. He was 83.

Mr. Larsen was born Aug. 14, 1929, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Leif and Margaret Larsen. He attended DePaul University in Chicago and Northern Illinois University.

He married Jennie Lascari Oct. 14, 1950.

For many years he served as the assistant principal at Lakeland Union High School. His hobbies included fishing and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 2001; his parents; one brother, Leif Jr.; and one grandson, Sam Larsen.

Survivors include four sons, John (Mary) of Naples, Fla., Len (Pam) of St. Germain, Ken (Lori) of Foster, Calif., and Michael (Kathy) of New Bern, N.C.; three daughters, Jaime (Mike) Korrer of Fond du Lac, Diane (Mike) Fashingbauer of Minocqua and Julie (David) Zillmer of Eagle River; 23 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the St. Germain Evangelical Free Church Friday, Dec. 21, from noon to 1:30 p.m. with a memorial service to follow with the Rev. Josh Reese officiating.
