Town electors unanimously approved a levy of $775,041 at the St. Germain annual budget hearing and levy meeting Dec. 10.

This will result in a mill rate of $8.156 per $1,000 of value or $815.60 for a home assessed at $100,000. The 2013 rate is reduced from last year’s rate of $8.644 per thousand.

Electors were told the drop in mill rate was because Vilas County and Northland Pines School District levies were reduced.
