Donald Pinc, age 85, of Eagle River, Wis., died on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff, Wis. He was born on July 19, 1927, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Frank and Marie (Samek) Pinc. In 1945, Don graduated from Tilden Technical School in Chicago, and attended Colorado College in Colorado. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Philippines.On June 6, 1953, he was married to Virginia Rigney in Eagle River. Don was employed by First National Bank in Eagle River, retiring after 33 years as executive vice president. Earlier in his life, Don had obtained the level of Eagle Scout. He enjoyed bowling, hunting and his Canadian fishing trips. He served as president of the Eagle River Lions Club from 1973-1974. Donald Pinc is survived by his wife, Virginia, of Eagle River; daughter, Pamela (Michael) Dwyer of Virginia; sons, James (Susan) of Virginia, and David (Ann) of Texas; and his four grandchildren, Thomas and Michael Pinc, and Geoff and Laura (Dwyer). Private funeral services were held at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Eagle River. The Rev. Mary Anne Biggs officiated. Condolences may be expressed at gaffney-busha.com.
