Ronald Krum, 81, of St. Germain, Wis., passed away Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee.
Ron was born April 4, 1931, in Sheboygan, to John and Lorraine (Graefe) Krum.
He graduated from Sheboygan North High School and joined the U.S. Army shortly thereafter. He served his country in Korea and at the completion of his military service, he returned home.In 1955, Ron and Joan Yurk were united in marriage.
Ron and Joan moved to Madison, where they spent many years and raised their family.
They retired to St. Germain, where they spent many happy years.
Throughout his life, he enjoyed investing and trading in the stock market, both personally and professionally.
Ron is survived by his children, Laura (Peter) O’Sullivan, David (Joanne) Krum and Bill Krum; grandchildren, Megan O’Sullivan, Brian O’Sullivan, Paul Krum, Lauren (Dan) Miller, Mary Jo Krum and Hannah Krum; sisters, Janice Holsen and Linda (Len) Milanz; brother, Dennis Krum; special friend, Marge Crowe; and other family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Joan, and his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his sister, Marlene Ingle.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at Ballhorn Chapels and Crematory, 1201 N. 8th St., Sheboygan, WI 53081, at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Dan Miller of Racine Bible Church will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held on Wednesday at Ballhorn Chapels from noon until the time of service. Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery in Sheboygan.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Community United Church of Christ in St. Germain.
A memorial fund has been established in Ronald’s name.
