Many Ways of Peace offers free series on drone warfare

The series Killing by Remote Control: Drone Warfare, will begin Monday, Jan. 28, and run for four consecutive Monday nights from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Many Ways of Peace, located at 217 S. Main St. in downtown Eagle River.

Among those who will lend their experiences and expertise to the new series of programs on drones and warfare is a Catholic sister from Racine and four local religious leaders.

In the first program of the series, human rights advocate, Pat Chaffee, a Dominican sister from Racine, will describe what it’s like to live under the threat of U.S. drones. In addition, she will discuss the Obama administration’s argument for use of drones and provide resources for research on drones and anti-drone
