Five people were hospitalized as a result of a two-car accident at the intersection of Highway 155 and Lost Lake Drive South in St. Germain Sunday morning, according to the Vilas County Sheriff’s Department.

The department received a 911 call reporting the crash at approximately 1:50 a.m.

The St. Germain Fire Department extricated the operator of one vehicle and transported that person to Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff.

The driver and three passengers of the second vehicle were transported to Howard Young Medical Center and Eagle River
