DePuydt’s team beats Mosinee in semi final

The Eagles scored three more goals for the win. —STAFF PHOTO After beating Mosinee 4-2 in the first game of the Pines Classic Friday, the Northland Pines Eagles’ boys hockey team fell to University School of Milwaukee 3-1 in the championship game Saturday.
In the winner over Mosinee, which also counted as a Great Northern Conference (GNC) game, the Eagles got off to a slow start, according to Pines coach Mike DePuydt.
“Having not had a game for over a week, we came out very slow, not only our legs, but our minds as well,” said DePuydt. “Our decision making was poor, as well as our execution.”
