By Gary Ridderbusch News-Review Editor The Northland Pines girls basketball team improved to 7-0 in the Great Northern Conference (GNC) with a 48-33 road win at Lakeland last Friday. Pines is now alone in first place in the GNC with five conference games remaining. The Eagles are 12-0 overall. The Eagles got off to a good start in the first quarter holding Lakeland to four points, while putting 13 on the board. Ellie Zyhowski and Holly Darton got Pines going early, scoring six and four points, respectively, in the period.
