Pines’ students help county with snomo safety campaign PDF Print E-mail

Letter to Editor:

(Editor’s note: The following letter was written by Gary Peske, chairman of the Vilas County Snowmobile Trail Safety Committee, to Northland Pines High School teacher David Strong and forwarded to the Vilas County News-Review.)

Dear Mr. Strong,

Your Mass Communication class recently completed a project working with the Vilas County Snowmobile Trail Safety Committee to develop snowmobile-related safety posters and recording some of our Public Service Announcements.

Today, the committee reviewed the posters your class submitted and approved using them in next year’s safety campaign.

On behalf of the Vilas County Snowmobile Trail Safety Committee, I would like to extend a thank you to you and your class for helping us with this project.

It was an enjoyable experience working with the students and getting a fresh perspective on how today’s youth communicate and view safety issues. We will use these ideas to continue to educate riders of all ages about snowmobile trail safety.

Thanks again for your assistance and please pass along our gratitude to your class. Your involvement was sincerely appreciated.

Sincerely,

Gary Peske

Chairman,

Vilas County Snowmobile Trail Safety Committee
