Pines girls win three games, look for Great Northern title

The Northland Pines High School girls hockey team won three straight conference games, as they beat Tomahawk 6-1 last Friday, Lakeland 6-1 Saturday and Ste­vens Point-Wisconsin Rap­ids 7-1 Monday.

With the three big wins, the Eagles are close to securing the Great Northern Conference (GNC) title. A win this Friday against Rhine­lander-Antigo, the team that upset them earlier this season, would seal the deal.
