Eagles battle in loss to Antigo

The Northland Pines boys basketball team played hard, but Antigo came out on top on the scoreboard, 66-46, in a Great Northern Conference (GNC) game at Antigo last Tuesday.

“Antigo is a good basketball team (record of 14-3), and although we lost, our effort was outstanding,” said Pines coach Ryan Clark. “We played really hard as we finished with 12 floor burns, 13 defensive deflections and took two charges.”

When Pines played Antigo on Dec. 14, the Eagles lost by 24 points (56-32).
