Eagle boys win three of four

Pines gets third seed in Sectional as tourney nears

The Northland Pines boys hockey team won three of four games last week, but lost a key nonconference game at Wausau West 5-0 last Monday night.

However, the Eagles remain on top of the Great Northern Conference (GNC) after defeating Antigo 4-2 and Medford 12-0 in league play. The Eagles are 13-0 in the GNC and 16-4 overall.

But the Wausau West game was important for seeding in the fast-approaching WIAA tournament.
