Dear Editor: After I worked at pond hockey on Friday, my wife wanted to go to the play at Northland Pines High School. I was very tired and before the play, I fell asleep. But when the orchestra started and the curtain opened, I did not blink an eye for two and one half hours. The play, “Footloose,” had a cast that was perhaps the best I have ever seen. The talent of the students was the best I have ever seen, including plays with paid performers.I must compliment every student that performed in the play, including the stage hands, the directors, orchestra and the teachers that coached the students. I highly recommend that if you have never been to a Northland Pines performance, make sure you see the next one. My hat is off to all of the students. They should be very, very proud.
