Locally-grown food to be program topic

Many Ways of Peace will hold its February  Peace Cafe Tuesday, Feb. 19, from noon to 1 p.m.

February’s topic is “What Does Locally-Grown Food Have to Do with Peace Anyway,” with guest presenters Brendan and Jenny Tuckey, owners of EverGood Farm, Sugar Camp.

Soup prepared in the Peace Kitchen from local and organic ingredients, along  with fresh-baked bread and fair-trade coffee and tea, will be served at noon, followed by the Tuckeys interactive presentation and a discussion of locally-grown food, community-supported agriculture and how they support a culture of peace.   The cost is $6.
