Eagle boys lose final two in GNC

The Northland Pines boys basketball team dropped three games last week, including two Great Northern Conference (GNC) games to Tomahawk 63-46 and Rhinelander 75-40.

Pines coach Ryan Clark said the Eagles played well as a team against Tomahawk last Tuesday after a rough start rebounding following Hatchet shots.

“We fell behind early to start the game (10-2) as Tomahawk had eight offensive rebounds in the first quarter,” said Clark. “However, once we started boxing out, we did a nice job of controlling the boards despite our lack of size.”

The Hatchets led 18-12 after one
