Face Mosinee Thursday with GNC title on line

The Northland Pines girls basketball team picked up two more wins in the Great Northern Conference (GNC) last week, staying in a first-place tie with Medford for the league championship.

The Eagles and Raiders are 10-1 in the GNC with one game remaining. Pines will travel to Mosinee (6-5) this Thursday, Feb. 21, for a 7:30 p.m. game, while Medford will play at Tomahawk (0-11).

The Eagles defeated Tomahawk 63-34 last Tuesday. After one quarter, Pines led 16-8. Ellie Zyhowski sparked the Eagles with six points in the frame.
