Jays beat Bobcats, but fall to Niagara

The Three Lakes Bluejays boys basketball team ended its season last week after beating Florence 59-47 in the first round of the WIAA playoffs Tuesday and losing 67-38 to Niagara in round two Friday.

Three Lakes coach Jack Wales said it was great to get a first round home game and the third seed for the playoffs.

“We have the best fans and student body cheering for us,” he said. “Our student section is like having another player on the floor, and to get an opportunity to play at home in front of them is what play off basketball is all about.”
