Pines girls defeated by Storm in Sectional tournament final

The Northland Pines High School girls hockey season came to an end last Friday night, as the team lost 4-1 to Central Wisconsin Storm in the third round of the WIAA playoffs.

Pines advanced to the Sectional final after beating Medford 5-1 Feb. 15 and Marshfield 4-3 last Tuesday.

Friday night’s game against the D.C. Everest co-op team was a battle, according to Pines coach Patrick Schmidt.
