William ‘Bill’ Macaulay PDF Print E-mail

William “Bill” Macaulay,  a 16-year resident of the North Woods, died at his son’s home Monday, Feb. 18, 2013.

Mr. Macaulay was born Aug. 5, 1925, in Madison, the son of Neil and Stella Macaulay.

Macaulay served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and worked as a chemical engineer in the Madison area for many years before relocating to the North Woods.

He was an avid Packers fan.

Macaulay was preceded in death by his son, Donald; brother, Phillip; and sisters, Marie and Nancy.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Bernice; daughter, Debbie (Walt) Ament of Land O’ Lakes;  sons, Mike (Mary)  of Bloomington, Minn., and John of Watersmeet, Mich.; daughter-in-law, Karen of Berlin; sister, Rachel Laylan of Madison; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Condolences may be expressed online at gaffney-busha.com.
