Arney Storzer, a longtime resident of Eagle River, died at his home Saturday, March 9, 2013.  He was 93.

Mr. Storzer was born Feb. 19, 1920, in the Denmark area, to Leroy and Ella Storzer.  He was a member of the American Legion and was a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Judy Lynn Slizewski, three brothers and one brother-in-law.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Elaine; son, Jerome (Cheryl) of Reedsville; sister, Arleen Christensen of Denmark; son-in-law, Buddy Jo Slizewski of Eagle River; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 13, at 11 a.m. at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Eagle River.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services with the  Rev. Mary Anne Biggs officiating.  Burial will be at Eagle River Cemetery in the spring.
