Plan Commission approves Smart Growth master plan

A draft master plan for the city of Eagle River required under the Wisconsin Smart Growth law was approved by the city Plan Commission after a number of changes were made last week.

There are nine required elements that must be in the comprehensive plan. These are issues and opportunities, housing, transportation, en­ergy, cultural resources, economic development, intergovernmental cooperation, land use and implementation.
