Sergent, longtime Derby co-chair, dies

James Sergent, a long-time member of the Eagle River Lions Club and co-chairman of the AMSOIL?World Championship Snowmobile Derby for 34 years, died Saturday, March 9, at the age of 76.

“The Derby maybe would not have survived without Jim,” said Dick Decker, former owner of the AMSOIL Derby Track in Eagle River. “I really mean that.”
