A proposal to expand meetings of the Vilas County Board to include evening meetings was approved by the Legislative & Judicial Committee last week and will be presented to the county board for adoption when it meets Tuesday, March 19.

Four additional meetings are included in a package of changes to the Standing Rules of the county board. The four additional meetings would be evening meetings in  February, May, July and October and would begin at 6:30 p.m. Board daytime meetings begin at 9 a.m.

The day of the month board meetings are held also would be changed from the third Tuesday to the fourth Tuesday,
