Fire department to purchase
brush truck for $120,000

The St. Germain Town Board learned at its regular meeting last week that the St. Germain Firefighters Association will purchase a new brush truck at a cost of $120,000.

Fire Chief Tim Clark delivered the report, saying the cost will be covered by donations and projects the association holds, including the summer flea market.

“The cost for the brush truck does not include items we hope to salvage from the old truck,” said Clark. “We’re purchasing new hose for the truck from donated money at a cost of $5,180.”
