Plans are underway for the 14th annual American Cancer Society Northwoods Relay for Life scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Aug. 2 and 3, at the Northland Pines High School track in Eagle River.

According to event spokesperson, Kitty Sookochoff, nominations are currently being taken for the 2013 Honorary Survivor and Caregiver.

“We are looking for people who have heard the words ‘You have cancer’ and are willing to share some things about their experience at the Relay Kick-off Thursday, April 18th as well at the event itself,” said Sookochoff.   “In many ways our Honorary Chairpersons become the ‘face’ of the Relay and are
