|Highway commissioner questions auction company’s online bid process|

The sale of four quad-axle highway trucks was stalled last week after questions were raised by the Vilas County Highway Committee on bidding procedures used by the company conducting the online sale of government equipment on the Wisconsin Surplus Online Auction site.
Two of the trucks were listed on the auction site and, according to Vilas Highway Commissioner Jarred Maney, the company allegedly placed false bids on one of the trucks to increase the sale price.
Flannery Trucking of Crandon placed a high bid of $126,000 on the first truck and tried to place a bid on the second, but was rejected, Maney told the committee.The committee questioned the
