With snow still on the baseball and softball fields in northern Wisconsin, high school teams are still playing catch and taking ground balls in gymnasiums.
Players at Northland Pines, Three Lake and Phelps might be waiting a while before they hit the diamonds for opening day, as there are still 15 to 20 inches of snow on the ground across the North Woods.But that’s not the case in Milwaukee, where Monday was opening day for the Brewers in covered Miller Park.
