|Couple truly cared about others|
My first memory of Eagle River in 1969 was the little store on the north side of the bridge in Eagle River and the couple who ran it. Gladys and Frank Adamovich, and their store, had been a part of so many people’s lives.
They always had a kind word, a friendly joke or just a helping hand in a time when the world seemed dark to a 10-year-old in a world of hard winters and not a lot of money. I watched as customers would sign receipts because they didn’t have enough to pay.If there was anyone who touched more lives in the North Woods, I would really like to meet them. My deepest sympathy goes out to the Adamovich family.
