I had a pretty amazing experience this past week. I heard the birds singing in my yard as I walked Bentley, our golden retriever. Probably most people in Wisconsin were excited about hearing the birdsong after such a long cold winter, but for me it was amazing because the pitch of birdsong has been pretty much outside of my hearing range until I got my hearing aids last fall. So yesterday, when the returning birds seems particularly active and filled with song, hearing them caught me off guard. I did not really how much I was missing.
