Evers tops Pridemore for top school official

State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Evers, who has been involved in education for more than 30 years, withstood a challenge from Republican state Rep. Don Pridemore in last Tuesday’s election.

Evers received 61% of the vote and Pridemore had 39%, giving Evers another four-year term overseeing the state’s  public schools.

Vilas County electors voted similarly to the rest of the state,
