Vilas County Sheriff

Complaints entered by Vilas County Sheriff’s Department dispatchers last week included at least 22 vehicle accidents, two requests for an ambulance, one animal problem, six requests for agency assistance, three at­tempts to locate, three burglar alarms, 11 requests for citizen assistance, one reports of criminal damage to property, 19 re­ports of hazardous conditions, two juvenile problems/runaways, five disturbances, five reports of suspicious circumstances, two thefts, four traffic violations, two threats, one welfare check, five 911 hang-ups, one all-terrain vehicle problem and nine drug problems.

At least 23 calls were re­ferred to the Eagle River Police De­partment and there were at least 20 informational or procedural entries.

In the past week, at least 14 people were booked at the Vilas County Jail, including one for probation revocation, five for bail jumping, one for obstructing justice, two for battery, one for probation violation, one for possession of THC and one for operating while intoxicated.

During the week, the in­mate population ranged from 64 to 72. As of April 15, there were 72 inmates.

 

Sunday, April 14

- 6:50 p.m. - A?one-vehicle accident was reported on Highway 51 near Wallace Road in Arbor Vitae involving Jill D. Evilsizor of Boulder Junction.

Friday, April 12

- 10 a.m. - A two-vehicle accident was reported on Boot Lake Road near West Road in the town of Cloverland involving Dakota Klessig of Eagle River and Gregory J. Gardner of Eagle River.

- 8:15 a.m. - A?one-vehicle accident was reported on Whitetail Crossing Road near Silver Lake Road in the town of Lincoln involving Heather M. Kramsvogel of Eagle River.

 

Eagle River Police

Among the calls received by Vilas County dispatchers were at least 25 calls for the Eagle River Police. These in­cluded three 911 hang-ups, one hit-and-run, one vehicle accident, two requests for an ambulance, one animal problem, one attempt to locate, one battery, two disturbances, one drug problem, one report of fraud, one harassment complaint, two warrant confirmations, one juvenile problem, one parking problem, one instance of lewd and lascivious behavior, one suicide attempt, one utility problem, one report of a wanted person and one welfare check.

 

Three Lakes Police

This police department re­ported one 911 hang-up, two alarms, one request for an ambulance, one request for motorist assistance, two hazards, one welfare check, 16 house checks, one request for canine assistance from another agency, two traffic stops and one vehicle in a ditch.
