|City changes payment in lieu of taxes for church moving into Tula’s building|

A zoning change to allow the former Tula’s building to be developed into a church was approved by the Eagle River City Council last week, but not without a change in a payment in lieu of taxes (PILOT) agreement that reduced the payment significantly.
St. Mary of the Snows Anglican Church plans on moving into the 17,000- square-foot facility on Wall Street from their present location on Silver Lake Road, using the upper level for church services, the main level for meals and gatherings, and the lower level for offices and classrooms.Church spokesman Senior Warden Dan Wroblewski
