Native plants in Chain billed as healthy: report

While there has been a reduction in  Eurasian water milfoil (EWM) in the Eagle River Chain of 28 Lakes since the  first aquatic invasive species (AIS) management plans were initiated on the Chain, the native aquatic plant community appears to be healthy, officials announced.

Aquatic ecologists with Onterra LLC completed the Eagle River Chain’s aquatic plant surveys last summer and presented the findings to the Unified Lower Eagle River Chain of Lakes Commission (ULERCLC) earlier this month.
