DNR wildlife experts concerned about deer herd

The extended winter, with cold temperatures and continued snow cover into late April, is stressing the northern Wisconsin deer herd, according to Department of Natural Resources (DNR) wildlife experts.

While the winter of 2012-’13 hasn’t experienced excessive snow depths, the length of the winter is stressing deer and other wildlife.
