Nation’s letter carriers to conduct food drive

The U.S. Postal Service and the National Association of Letter Carriers will join forces  to conduct the annual Stamp Out Hunger (SOH) food drive Saturday, May 11.

The nation’s more than 200,000 letter carriers will collect food donations in more than 10,000 communities and deliver them to local food banks and other hunger relief organizations.

To participate in the food drive, leave a bag of nonperishable food items such as  canned soup, vegetables, fruits, juices, boxed goods, pasta and rice where the letter carrier normally delivers mail.

The food will be picked up and delivered
