She was born to Mattus and Cecilia (Bernarde) Hansen on Jan. 29, 1945.
She graduated from Marion High School.Diana enjoyed bowling, snowmobiling, fishing and being outdoors.
She was preceded in death by both parents; and her sister, Pat May.
She is survived by her husband, James Schweizer, Phelps, Wis.; three daughters, Victoria Fitzgerald (Robert Schmidt), Hampton, Va., Mary Ann Gunter, Houston, Texas, and Brenda (Tom) Bargender, Wausau; two sisters, Sharon (Jerry) Radies, Big Falls, Wis., and Gail (Geisbert) Plogsties, Howard, Wis.; brother-in-law, Bill May, Pulaski, Wis.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life gathering was held on Sunday, May 5, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the American Legion in Wausau.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
Mid-Wisconsin Cremation Society is assisting the family.
