Used cell phones can provide talk time for those in military

Eagle River Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 8637 and BMO Harris Bank locations in Eagle River and St. Germain recently announced they would serve as drop-off points for Cell Phones for Soldiers, a nonprofit organization which provides free communication services to active duty military members and veterans.

With ongoing deployments to combat areas and elsewhere, as many as 369,000 soldiers are serving in the U.S. military overseas. By donating gently-used cell phones to Cell Phones for Soldiers, Eagle River residents can provide soldiers with a connection to loved ones back home.
