Vilas County Sheriff

A total of 171 complaints were entered by Vilas County Sheriff’s Department dispatchers last week.

In addition to those with sufficient detail to report be­low, a review shows at least four vehicle accidents, one request for an ambulance, two animal problems, three requests for agency assistance, one battery, one report of disorderly conduct, one report of fraud, one instance of found property, two harassment complaints, three at­tempts to locate, two burglar alarms, four requests for citizen assistance, two reports of criminal damage to property, seven re­ports of hazardous conditions, four juvenile problems/runaways, two disturbances, six reports of suspicious circumstances, three thefts, nine traffic violations, six welfare checks, 12 911 hang-ups, four drug problems and one report of operating while intoxicated.

At least 10 calls were re­ferred to the Eagle River Police De­partment and there were at least 16 informational or procedural entries.

In the past week, at least 10 people were booked at the Vilas County Jail, including two for operating while intoxicated, two for probation revocation, one for bail jumping, two for failure to appear and two disorderly conduct.

During the week, the in­mate population ranged from 77 to 82. As of May 24, there were 82 inmates.

 

Wednesday, May 22

- 7:24 p.m. - A?two-vehicle accident was reported on Perch Lake Road near Lotus Lane in the town of Cloverland involving Brandon J. Baseman of Eagle River, who was cited for operating under the influence, and Joseph B. Pobjoy, who was cited for operating while suspended.

 

Three Lakes Police

This police department re­ported three vehicle accidents, one alarm, one ambulance request, one animal at large, one request for agency assistance, one ATV?violation, three boating violations, one civil matter, one death investigation, one disturbance, one report of gunshots, nine hazards, one welfare check, two house checks, five informational reports, one instance of operating while intoxicated, one parking violation, one warrant arrest, one instance of found property, one report of reckless driving, two services, three suspicious circumstances, one traffic complaint, six traffic stops, one report of trespassing and one violation of court order.
