|Legion Riders to host annual ride June 1|
The American Legion Riders Association of Wisconsin, District 11 will be hosting the eighth annual Ride for Peanuts to benefit Camp American Legion this Saturday, June 1.
Camp American Legion serves ill, injured and disabled Wisconsin veterans. Proceeds will help purchase peanuts for the veterans to feed the squirrels and chipmunks during their stay at camp.The Harley-Davidson Employee Riders Association previously hosted this event. Ride registration is at Northwoods Harley-Davidson, 1700 Highway 51 in Arbor Vitae, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. The ride sheets require a $10 donation and additional sheets are available.
The ride is rain or shine; bike or car.
The stops will include Smiley’s Pub in Lake Tomahawk, Camp American Legion in Lake Tomahawk, Birch Lake Bar & Resort in Harshaw, Lincoln County Cycles in Tomahawk and Silverado in Tomahawk. Riders should get their sheets stamped at all five stops.
The ride ends at 5 p.m. at R.R. Gators, located at 2200 Highway L in Tomahawk. All ride sheets must be turned in by 5 p.m. There will be raffles and door prizes.
