Linda Elko, a lifelong resident of the Eagle River area, died Friday, May 31, 2013, at Howard Young Medical Center. She was 63.
Mrs. Elko was born March 10, 1950, in Rhinelander to parents Edward and Vernice (Mayo) Smith.
Mrs. Elko graduated in 1968 from Eagle River Union High School in Eagle River.
She was employed by the U.S. Forest Service at the Eagle River office.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; sons, Robert (Tricia) of New London, and Nick (Amy) of Rhinelander; brother, Bill (Robbe) Smith of Tomahawk; sister, Geri (Eric) Webb of Eagle River; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 8, at 11 a.m. at Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home in Eagle River.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
