Patricia Anderson died Thursday, May 30, 2013, at her home in Eagle River. She was 87.
Mrs. Anderson was born July 16, 1925, to parents Claud and Nora (Phillippi) Stevens in Eagle River.
She graduated from the Eagle River School System in 1943.
She resided in New York City during World War II where she worked as a government employee.
She married Peter Anderson Jr. June 1, 1946, and resided in Wausau for three years before returning to Eagle River.
She was active with the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Eagle River where she served on the church board and played piano.
Mrs. Anderson was a past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 218 in Eagle River, a Girl Scout leader for many years and she worked with the music students of Northland Pines High School in Eagle River.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter, in 1983.
She is survived by daughters, Karen (John) Dunphy of Huntsville, Texas, and Kristin of Phoenix, Ariz.; son, Peter “Tripp” (Judy) of Eagle River; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Monday, June 3, at First Congregational United Church of Christ.
